PS – one of the trips that changed me or at least had an effect on me was right after my daddy died and my brother and I took an “odyssey” trip from Texas to my home in WNC – we had no mapquest directions, no GPS device – nothing but maps and sense of direction and a meandering idea of where were were going. We went through at least 5 states before driving into WNC. I’ll never forget that trip.
