It’s been a crazy week!
My teenage daughter finally got her license, which was a little late in coming mostly because I was a little late in being ready for that. 🙂
I paid off my car…
Which would mean a raise, except for the fact that aforesaid daughter needed a vehicle. Therefore she got my newly paid off car. The one still in pristine condition and is probably shaking in fear that my daughter is behind the wheel.
So then I needed something to drive… and I got this…
Let me just say…it’s RED. Enough said.
And then my darling daughter made her appointment to talk to a Navy recruiter last night, so we went and got all the information we could ever hope to have.
And this weekend we start boxing up our living room to tear out a wall.
Whew…
I’m tired.
How was YOUR week??? 🙂

Wow, Sharla! Talk about stress! That comical pic with the crazy hair just may be you in real life, eh?!!!
This week my son’s basketball team made the playoffs but they were smacked BIG TIME in the game, so it was the last game of his high school life. Very sad. I’m still reeling from that. When I get stressed out, I don’t eat, then I don’t feel good, and so the circle continues. I’m trying to put everything into perspective and spin it into a positive. Still trying…….
Good luck with your daughter and the career. Nice car!

Ohhhh I understand all those “senior” things. My son is 21 now but his senior year everything was the last time. The last game, the last dance, the last party, the last time he’d ever park in such and such spot… LOL. It’s all sad, but they get over it, and we do too!

Sharla, enjoyed this. In particular, the image of the “new” teenage daughter and the passion-red car for mom. The Navy? I guess if she’s contemplating the Navy, she’ll need to get her props driving and then get her “sea legs.” Our men were all Navy, merchants, sea faring men as far back as the tall ships. I love that times have changed and it can also include women 🙂 Good luck with the wall and surviving another insane week.

Thanks! she is very excited about this potential Navy career of hers. I’m just hoping she handles the schooling part well, and doesn’t end up shipped off to clean toilets or something.

And here you are getting ready for your book release, too. Or is tearing down the wall your way of celebrating? I hope not.:)
Here’s to safe driving, comfy new wheels, and a husband that hopefully does most of the work.

LOL, hey, there’s an idea, huh? We’ve been wanting to enlarge our living room for years and hubby has decided now is the time. So now is the time. 🙂
I’m trying not to ramble on too much about the book release because I’m saving that insanity for the week before…lol! But yeah…that. And the promo for it…which makes me crazier than the release itself.

Oh how I remember those days – but I wasn’t about to give up my 1960 red VW to any one of the kids – THEY COULD NOT HAVE HER – thus, new cars awaited them. Tearing out walls – can we call that stress reduction – if the sledge hammer is big enough – I like to call it an open floor plan and oh the fun when the house seems larger than it really is. Great blog. . .as always. So happy you have a shiny new red car – it’ll hold lots of books – I can see you leaning up against it, one foot tucked up head tossed back while laughing, and signing your name.

Sounds like you had a typical week of ups and downs … but mostly ups thank goodness. Good luck to your daughter and on your renos. We’ve been in reno mode since Aug. 14, 2011… many unexpected delays fm our contractor. But his work is so good we don’t want to give up.
